ISLAMABAD, Jun 03 (APP):Nazaria-e-Pakistan Council Trust will organize a special memorial ceremony on June 10, to commemorate Pakistan’s historic achievement of becoming the first nuclear power in the Muslim world and to pay tribute to the services and contributions of renowned nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan.
Talking to APP, the spokesperson of the Council said that the event aims to acknowledge Dr Khan’s role in strengthening the country’s defence capabilities and national security through his scientific achievements and dedicated efforts.
He said the gathering would provide an opportunity to reflect on the country’s scientific accomplishments and recognize the contributions of individuals who played a key role in safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and strategic interests.
The ceremony is expected to be presided over by Mushahid Hussain Syed, while Muhammad Masood Khan will attend as the chief guest.
Several distinguished scholars, intellectuals, defence experts and prominent personalities from different sectors are expected to participate in the event and share their views on Pakistan’s nuclear journey, national security and the legacy of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. at Aiwan-e-Quaid, with participants from various fields expected to attend.
