Nawaz Sharif most popular political figure: Musadik

ISLAMABAD, Mar 7 (APP): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Media Affairs Dr. Musadik Malik has said, former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was the most popular political figure in the country and no body could remove his love from the hearts of the people.
Talking to a private news channel, he said people were giving warm welcome to their beloved leader and were supporting his narrative all over the country.
He said the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) had gained majority in the Senate elections and consultations for election of Chairman of the upper house were underway.
Musadik Malik said the PML-N had been winning by-elections everywhere in the country as people had great affiliation with their leader Nawaz Sharif.
He said, not a single case of corruption was proved against the PML-N leadership and Nawaz Sharif was disqualified on having an Iqama but not on corruption charges, he added.
Replying to a question, he said dictators had introduced some amendments in the constitution for their vested interests but democratic governments had abolished such amendments from the constitution.
Dr. Musadik said all political parties should learn from the past mistakes and move forward positively and work for the betterment of the country.
