ISLAMABAD, Apr 9 (APP):Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Mohsin Ranjha Monday said former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was the most popular leader among the masses and they were supporting his narrative and party policies.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the people had expressed their confidence in policies of the Pakistan Muslim League-N by giving votes to the party in most of the by-elections.
Huge participation of people at public gatherings was an evidence of party’s popularity, he said.
Mohsin Ranjha said after disappointing performance of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in by-elections held in Punjab province, PPP was not in a position to even field candidates with the party sign.
To a question, he said Economic Reforms Package announced by the incumbent government would help in widening tax net across the country.
