HATTIAN BALA, (AJK) May 29 (APP): Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said a corruption free and modern Pakistan was the vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and establishment of a modern passport office in Hattian Bala was manifestation of the fact.
Addressing the workers convention here, the minister said
that after Pakistan becoming a nuclear state under Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif leadership, respect of green passport in the eyes of the world increased in 1998 but the steps of Pervez Musharraf did earn a bad name for Pakistan passport holders and gave the nation gift of terrorism and drone attacks.
Pervaiz Rashid said that the next election in Azad Jammu and Kashmir was the contest between those who are building network of roads and those coming on the roads and people of Hattian Bala have already bade farewell to such elements.
He said Nawaz Sharif believes that protest marches should not come on the roads, rather trucks, loaded with AJK fruits, should come on the roads.
He said that after construction of modern roads, fruits from
AJK would not only be sold in Pakistani markets but also be exported abroad.
He said that at the new passport office, the citizens will
get messages regarding their passport on their mobile phone and no body would ask them to pay gratification.
He said that some people have been trying to copy Nawaz
Sharif, but they do not know that Nawaz Sharif is a visionary
leader, the quality they lacked.
He said that a political leader recently inaugurated a power
plant in Swat with lighting a zero watt bulb and started clapping himself but he forgot to remember that PML N government at centre has started work on power projects which would generate over 10000 MW additional electricity by 2018.
He said that presently there was about 5 thousand mega watt electricity shortfall in the country and by 2018, Pakistan will have about 5000 MW additional power.
He said that by 2018, Pakistan will become the country which will be generating surplus and cheaper electricity in the country.
The minister said after overcoming power crisis, not only
domestic consumers, will get rid of load shedding and gas shortage but factories will also get enough power to run at full capacity.
He said that PML N government in AJK was necessary as the
present PPP government has failed to spend Rs 300 billion given to it by the Centre for the welfare of the state. He said that AJK has ten districts and for every district Rs 30 billion have been released by the federal government, but no development projects have been launched in any of the AJK districts.
He said it was the right of the people of AJK to ask
questions about Rs 30 billion development funds. He said that in such circumstances, the PML N AJK decided to contest election in AJK from each constituency of Legislative Assembly this year.
In recent AJK Council elections, 11 members of the PML N
got elected a common party worker as its new member despite the fact that huge money was being offered for betraying their party, he said.
He said that like the PML N President Nawaz Sharif, its
workers are also honest, so they refused to sell their votes in AJK Council elections and this was a proof of PML N honesty.
He said that with the grace of Allah Almighty, PML N will
win the AJK LA elections with thumping majority and form its government.
He assured that PML N will give tickets of reserved seats
including women seats on merit and no relatives of the office bearers will be given tickets. On party workers will be allotted tickets , he added.
He said that PML N was like a family and all workers of
the party are proud of their leader Nawaz Sharif who made Pakistan a proud nation on May 28,1999 by nuclear tests despite mounting world pressure.
He said that nuclear Pakistan enjoyed respect and dignity
among the comity of nations, but after October 1999 Pakistan’s lost its respect.
He said that some elements do avoid to come to the
parliament and want to block the raods through their protest.
Earlier, he along with Prime Minister’s Special Assistant
on Political Affairs Dr Asif Kirmani, inaugurated the new passport office in Hattian Bala.
