National Paigham-e-Aman Committee delegation arrives in Peshawar to advance peace, harmony

A 10-member delegation of the National Paigham-e-Aman Committee, on Tuesday arrived in Peshawar to begin a series of engagements for strengthening peace, interfaith harmony, inter-sect unity and national cohesion across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

PESHAWAR , Jul 28 (APP):A 10-member delegation of the National Paigham-e-Aman Committee, on Tuesday arrived in Peshawar to begin a series of engagements for strengthening peace, interfaith harmony, inter-sect unity and national cohesion across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During its visit, the delegation will hold meetings with leading religious scholars and spiritual leaders from all schools of thought, as well as representatives of various faith communities, to discuss measures for promoting peace, tolerance and mutual understanding.
As part of its programme, the delegation will also visit Peshawar’s Cathedral Church and a number of religious seminaries (madaris), where it will interact with religious leaders and community representatives to reinforce the message of coexistence, religious harmony and national unity.
It will hold a “National Peace Ulema and Mashaikh Conference” on Wednesday, bringing together prominent scholars, religious leaders and representatives of all schools of thought and faith communities from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
