ISLAMABAD, May 15 (APP):State Minister for Maritime Affairs Chaudhry Jaffar Iqbal has urged the political forces and other
institutions to give importance to the national interests and not to call anyone as traitor.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House on Tuesday, the minister said that in the
past General (R) Ahmad Shuja Pasha, General (R) Asad Durrani and others also
talked about the issue but nobody raised voice against them.
Chaudhry Jaffar said that former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has no need to get certificate of patriotism from anyone. If anybody wants to prove Nawaz Sharif as traitor,
it will be violation of mandate of 200 million people and all the members of
National Assembly.
He said that former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz
Sharif has not created any problem for his legislators and the whole country was eye witness during the public gathering in Buner that all his members were with him.
To a question about departure of American diplomat Col
Joseph Emanuel Hall involved in hitting a person in Islamabad resulting
his death, the minister said that every country is bound to follow
diplomatic agreements and all requirements are fulfilled in this particular case.
