LAHORE, May 28 (APP):Former Chief Secretary Punjab Nasir Mehmood Khan Khosa has been nominated as the caretaker Chief Minister Punjab.
The unanimous decision was reached here on Monday after a meeting between the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed.
The retired bureaucrat has vast administrative experience and has served as Chief Secretary in Punjab and Baluchistan and later served as the executive director at the world Bank.
Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Nasir Mehmood Khosa would employ his vast administrative experience in holding transparent and fair election in the province, adding all political parties would get equal opportunities to run their campaigns.
The Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed claimed that PTI had nominated Nasir Khosa’s for caretaker chief ministership of the Punjab.
Nasir Mehmood Khan Khosa has served as Balochistan and Punjab Chief Secretary. He had also served in various capacities in the Punjab. He was Principal Secretary to former Governor Khalid Maqbool, Additional Secretary Finance Department, Commissioner Multan Division and Deputy Commissioner Lahore.
