Naqvi vows swift arrest of agent involved in Laiba’s Case

ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP):Federal Interior Minister Senator Mohsin Naqvi stated that the case of Laiba was a test for the authorities, expressing confidence that the police would successfully investigate the matter and the accused would be apprehended and punished swiftly.
Speaking to the media after offering condolences to the parents of Laiba, Mohsin Naqvi assured that those involved in the incident would be brought to justice.
He noted that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) was also investigating the case and mentioned that the European Union had acknowledged a decline in visa fraud.
The Interior Minister added that the Prime Minister had directed the authorities to arrest the accused and expressed hope that, God willing, those responsible would be brought to justice and punished.
He vowed to take strict action against agents involved in such activities, adding that the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) was operational, with 61 employees currently working in Punjab.
Mohsin Naqvi further stated that the Prime Minister had taken notice of the situation and that complaints related to such cases were being processed through the Pak-ID system.
He remarked that government measures had led to a reduction in human trafficking and added that the Prime Minister had summoned officials earlier to discuss the case.
