Naqvi reviews Islamabad Expressway Service Road Project, orders faster work, utility relocation

ISLAMABAD, Oct 05 (APP):Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday visited the Islamabad Expressway Service Road Project and reviewed the ongoing construction work.
During the visit, the minister was briefed on the progress of the project and directed the authorities to speed up work and remove hurdles affecting its completion.
Mohsin Naqvi conducted a detailed inspection of the construction activities at the project site. He expressed displeasure over delays in the relocation of utilities, which have affected the pace of work on the project.
The Interior Minister directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to immediately contact Sui Gas authorities to ensure the timely relocation of utilities. He stressed that the transfer of utilities should be carried out on an emergency basis so that construction work can continue without interruption.
Mohsin Naqvi also ordered the concerned authorities to accelerate work on the project. He instructed officials to increase the workforce engaged at the site in order to improve the pace of construction and meet project requirements.
The minister further directed that the number of machines being used on the project should also be increased to support ongoing construction activities and help complete the work more efficiently.
During the visit, CDA Chairman briefed the Interior Minister on different aspects of the Islamabad Expressway Service Road Project. According to the briefing, more than 60 machines are currently working simultaneously on the project.
The briefing also covered the ongoing construction activities and operational arrangements being implemented at the site to advance the project.
The CDA Chairman and other senior officials were present on the occasion and accompanied the Interior Minister during the review of the project.
Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the need for immediate action on utility relocation and directed the relevant authorities to ensure that work on the project moves forward without delay.
