ISLAMABAD, Nov 20 (APP):Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday paid tribute to Pakistan’s security forces after they carried out two successful intelligence-based operations against militants in the Kurram district, describing the actions as a major blow to India-sponsored terrorism in the region.
According to the minister, the “brave sons of the security forces” eliminated 23 militants during the operations, terming the achievement a “significant success” in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
Naqvi said the nation stands proud of the professionalism and courage demonstrated by the security personnel. “We salute the fearless soldiers who thwarted the nefarious designs of the terrorists,” he said.
Reaffirming the government’s resolve, the Interior Minister declared that Pakistan remains fully committed to the complete eradication of what he referred to as “Fitna-e-Hindustan” from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the rest of the country. “The soil of Pakistan is being cleansed of this menace once and for all,” he added.
