ISLAMABAD, Oct 26 (APP):Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday paid a glowing tribute to Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed, the valiant hero of the 1948 Pir Kalewa front and a recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider, Pakistan’s highest military honour.
In his message, Interior Minister Naqvi lauded Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed for his extraordinary courage and indomitable spirit in the face of heavy enemy fire. “Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed wrote an unforgettable chapter of bravery in the nation’s history by halting the enemy’s advance,” Naqvi said. “The brave son of the soil did not abandon his post despite relentless shelling and continued to fight with unwavering determination even after being wounded.”
Paying rich homage to the martyr’s sacrifice, the minister said Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed’s steadfastness and devotion to the motherland remain eternal symbols of courage. “By stopping the enemy’s advancement, he set an exemplary standard of valour and fortitude in military history,” he added. “His sacrifice proved that a soldier’s greatest weapon is not merely his arms, but his unshakeable faith and commitment to defend his homeland.”
Naqvi emphasized that Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed’s supreme sacrifice continues to serve as a source of inspiration for generations of soldiers. “Heroes like Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed are the pride of Pakistan’s Armed Forces,” he said, adding that their legacy of patriotism and courage strengthens the nation’s resolve to safeguard its sovereignty at all costs.
