NA Speaker pays tribute to Rashid Minhas on 55th martyrdom anniversary
ISLAMABAD, Aug 20 (APP):Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Thursday paid rich tribute to Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, on the 55th anniversary of his martyrdom.
The Speaker said that the sacrifice of Rashid Minhas was an everlasting example of patriotism, courage and devotion to duty.
He said the martyr laid down his life for the defence and security of the motherland.
Ayaz Sadiq said the exemplary courage, sense of duty and love for the country demonstrated by Rashid Minhas would continue to serve as a beacon of guidance for the younger generation.
He said Rashid Minhas displayed unwavering commitment to the defence of Pakistan and national security.
He added that he was the youngest Pakistani to be awarded the country’s highest military honour, Nishan-e-Haider.
The Speaker said the armed forces of Pakistan had rendered unparalleled sacrifices for the protection of national security and sovereignty.
Rashid Minhas , he said, sacrificed his life in defence of the motherland and proved that the security of the country was paramount.
He said the martyr’s supreme sacrifice foiled the nefarious designs of the enemy, adding that the martyrs of the nation were its true heroes and the entire nation was proud of them.
Ayaz Sadiq said the nation would always remember the sacrifices of its martyrs and prayed for the elevation of the ranks of Rashid Minhas and all other martyrs.
