ISLAMABAD, Dec 05 (APP): Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has paid glowing tribute to Nishan-e-Haider recipient Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed on his 54th martyrdom anniversary, calling his sacrifice an eternal symbol of courage and patriotism.
The Speaker said Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed’s unmatched bravery remains a golden chapter in Pakistan’s military history, said a news release on Friday.
He said that during the historic battle of Hilli, Major Akram Shaheed thwarted numerous enemy attacks with exceptional valour, inflicting heavy losses on the adversary during the 1971 war.
Ayaz Sadiq said the nation will forever honour and remember the heroic services of Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed, who laid down his life in defence of the motherland.
The Speaker also prayed for the elevation of the ranks of Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed in the life hereafter.
