ISLAMABAD, Jun 10 (APP):The budget session of the National Assembly began on Tuesday.
The session was chaired by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, is scheduled to present the federal budget for the fiscal year 2025–26 during the session.
He will also lay before the House the Annual Budget Statement for 2025–26, including the revised estimates for the fiscal year 2024–25, and the demands for grants and appropriations for 2024–25.
In addition, the finance minister will present regular and technical supplementary grants for the fiscal years 2023–24 and 2024–25, as well as the excess budget statement for 2023–24.
The minister will also introduce the Finance Bill 2025, which aims to implement the federal government’s financial proposals for the upcoming fiscal year starting July 1, 2025, and to amend certain existing laws.
