NA session adjourned till Tuesday due to lack of quorum

ISLAMABAD, Aug 24 (APP):Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah adjourned the proceedings of the House till Tuesday at 11:00 am due to a lack of quorum.
When the Question Hour started, MNA Iqbal Afridi asked the chair to give him the floor.
Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, however, said that the floor would not be given to him during the Question Hour and that he would be allowed to speak after completion of the Question Hour.
Following the Speaker’s refusal, the MNA pointed out the quorum.
After a headcount, the House was found to be inquorate. Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq then suspended the proceedings until the quorum was completed.
When the House reassembled after half an hour, the Deputy Speaker asked for the headcount again.
After the headcount, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah announced that the House was not in order and adjourned the proceedings till Tuesday at 11:00 am.
The House was scheduled to take up Question Hour, legislative business, introduction of bills and calling attention notices.
