ISLAMABAD, Jan 13 (APP):The National Assembly on Tuesday unanimously adopted a resolution urging the government to investigate instances of documented passengers being off-loaded at various airports and to implement administrative reforms to protect passenger rights.
The resolution, moved by Syed Agha Rafiullah, calls for immediate steps to ensure transparency, accountability, and proper documentation of all off-loading decisions. It emphasizes improving communication channels so that any refusal of permission to travel is lawful, documented, and in accordance with established regulations.
“Passenger rights must be safeguarded, and all decisions regarding travel restrictions should follow a legal and documented process,” the resolution states.
The motion was passed without opposition and reflects the House’s concern over reported cases of arbitrary off-loading, highlighting the need for reforms to strengthen procedural fairness at airports.
