ISLAMABAD, Feb 10 (APP):The National Assembly on Monday offered prayers for those who lost their lives in various tragic incidents, including terrorist attacks and accidents.
Pakistan Muslim League-Zia (PML-Z) chief Muhammad Ijaz-ul-Haq led the prayers during the session, which was presided over by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
At the Speaker’s request, Ijaz-ul-Haq prayed for the victims, while the House paid tribute to those who perished in multiple incidents.
These included the 10 victims of the Multan cylinder explosion, four Levies personnel martyred in Dera Ismail Khan, Major Hamza Israr and his companion who embraced martyrdom during an anti-terror operation in Waziristan, as well as those who lost their lives in Khuzdar and the Libya boat tragedy.
The National Assembly members expressed deep sorrow over the tragedies and prayed for the departed souls and their grieving families.
