ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP): Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Senator Dr. Musadik Malik, has lauded the Pakistan Navy for its successful large-scale anti-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea, describing it as a significant step in safeguarding both public health and the marine environment.

“Drugs are not only devastating to human health but also have deep negative impacts on societal structures and ecological systems,” Dr. Malik said in a news statement on Wednesday highlighting the broader consequences of narcotics trafficking.

The minister further praised the Navy’s efforts to protect Pakistan’s marine ecosystem from illegal activities and pollution, calling them “highly commendable.”

He stressed that maintaining the integrity of the maritime environment is critical for the country’s ecological sustainability.
