Musadik condemns kidnapping of CJs son

Poor will not be burdened; Musadik

ISLAMABAD, Jun 21 (APP): Spokesman to the Prime Minister Dr Musadik Malik Tuesday strongly condemned the kidnapping of Barrister Awais Shah, son of Chief Justice Sindh High Court Sajjad Ali Shah.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has taken notice of
the kidnapping of Barrister Awais and expressed deep concern over
it, he said in a private news channel program.

He said federal and provincial investigating institutions were
busy to trace the criminals and ensure release of the Chief Justice’s
son from their custody. The law would take its course against
the elements found involved in the incident and strict action would
be taken against them.

Replying to a question, he said all the members of parliamentary
committee formed on Terms of Reference (ToR) agree on transparent and indiscriminate accountability of the corrupt. But, the matter is stuck
up on deciding the modalities.

“Our claim is that whatever the proceedings on Panama papers, that
should be within the ambit of the constitution and no one
person specific law can be framed for accountability,” he added.

Malik said, the law in that regard should relate to all accused of
corruption and every accused will appear before the Commission
to explain his position.
