ISLAMABAD, Dec 17 (APP): Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON, Engineer Amir Muqam Wednesday chaired the high-level meeting to review the progress and development on the prime minister’s directions during his visit to Chitral.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Power Division, Ministry of Petroleum, Ministry of Communications, National Highway Authority (NHA), National Health Services, Higher Education Commission, Special Secretary Education Department, Chief Engineer Communications and Works Department (C&W) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Health Department KP, and District Health Officer (DHO) Chitral, said a press release.
Secretary Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON Zafar Hassan and Additional Secretary Kamran Rehman Khan were also present in the meeting.
Amir Muqam directed to prepare PC-1 for health facilities in Upper Chitral and expedite the work on it. He also urged the authorities concerned to prepare a formal proposal for the establishment of a university campus in Upper Chitral.
During the meeting, senior officials of various ministries and departments gave a detailed briefing on the implementation of the Prime Minister’s instructions and the progress of ongoing projects.
The Federal Minister emphasized that timely and effective implementation of the announcements and directions made during the Prime Minister’s visit to Chitral should be ensured so that maximum facilities can be provided to the people of the area.
