More rain likely: Met

LAHORE,Oct 26 (APP)-Met department has predicted more rain-
thunderstorm/snowfall over KPK,Punjab,Kashmir and Gilgit-
Baltistan during the next couple of days.
A spokesman of Met office informed that a westerly wave
was affecting upper parts of the country and was likely to move
eastward during next 24 hours.This may produce good rain over
agricultural plains of Punjab,KPK,Kashmir,Gilgit-Baltistan
and north-east Balochistan for the next two days.
He said that rain-thunderstorm was expected at scattered
places in Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore,
Sargodha, Faisalabad, divisions) upper KP (Malakand, Hazara,
Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan and
Kashmir, while at isolated places in D.G.Khan, Multan,
Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Zhob divisions during the next two days.
The farmers of these areas should prepare their land for
Rabi Season at the end of this spell as sufficient
moisture will be available in the soil for seeds germination,
he added.
