Month long post-hajj flights operation to conclude on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP): The month long pre-Hajj flights operation is set to conclude on Wednesday (Oct 28) as over 143,268 Pakistanis including government and private scheme pilgrims will return to the country after performing the sacred religious ritual of Hajj.
The post Hajj flights operation was started on September 26 to bring back around 1,43,668 Hujjaj from the holy land, official sources in the Ministry of Religious Affairs told APP on Saturday.
Hajj mission comprising 450 Hajj Medical Mission, 450 Moavineen-e-Hujjaj, 200 seasonal staff of the ministry and 400 local Moavineen-e-Hujjaj were deputed in Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2015.
Expressing satisfaction over the smooth conduct of pre-Hajj
flight operation, an official said that the flight operation would be completed within the prescribed time.
“The successful and timely completion of pre and post-Hajj flights operation will be a big achievement of the ministry,” he added.
The Ministry had made a special help line operational to facilitate the intending Hujjaj, he added.
The complaints had also been registered at the website of the ministry.
A Hajj Advisory Committee had monitored the entire Hajj operation.
The committee had the representation of the ministry, Hajj Group Organisers, Standing committee of the Parliament and Parliamentary secretary on Religious Affairs.
PIA’s Post Hajj operation would bring back more than 55,800 hajjis
from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan including 43,600 through 148 Pre-Hajj flights to Saudi Arabia.
Over 12,200 intending pilgrims were being brought back through the airline’s regular scheduled flights to Saudi Arabia.
PIA had made arrangements to provide information and guidance, including filling of immigration cards and security clearance at Jeddah Hajj terminal at PIA offices at Jeddah, Makkah and Medinah.
PIA has also set up special counters at Airports in Pakistan were returning Hajjis are provided Zam Zam water bottles.
