MODP discusses supply of military aircraft with Egyptian counterpart

ISLAMABAD, Dec 7 (APP): Minister for Defense Production (MODP) Rana
Tanveer Hussain Wednesday discussed supply of military aircraft to Egypt for training military-men as well as defence of the brotherly country.

The minister who currently is on an official visit to Cairo in his  meeting with Egyptian Defence Minister General Sedkhi Sobhy talked about the supply of Super Mushshak (trainer) and JF-17 Thunder (fighter) aircraft.

He offered for induction of the aircraft in the fleet of the Egyptian  Air Force and assured that Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (manufacturer of both the aircraft) would provide all assistance including training and after sales service to them.

According to Ministry of Defence Production, the minister mentioned
that Pakistan attaches great importance to its bilateral relations with Egypt which is an important player in regional and global affairs and an active member of the OIC.

He apprised the Egyptian Defense Minister about the various state of
the art products and services offered by defense production establishments DPEs of Pakistan.

He also had a separate meeting with Major General Muhammed Said El
Assar, Minister for Military Production.

Minister thanked for the visit of Major General Muhammad Said-Al-Asaar to Pakistan for participation in IDEAS-2016.

Minister also had a meeting with Abdul Aziz Seif Aldien Chairman Arab
organization. Matters of bilateral importance were discussed during the meeting.

Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Defense Production conveyed the best wishes to the Egyptian host and thanked for the hospitality extended to him during the visit.
