Ministry finalizes arrangement to ensure smooth facilitation for pilgrims during hajj, says Sardar Yousuf

ISLAMABAD, Apr 15 (APP): Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, said that comprehensive arrangements are being finalized to ensure smooth facilitation for Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj, with a strong emphasis on discipline, coordination, and adherence to Saudi regulations.

He expressed these views while chairing a high-level review meeting on Hajj arrangements. The meeting was attended via Zoom by Secretary Religious Affairs Abrar Ahmed Mirza, Additional Secretary Dr. Sajid Mahmood Chauhan, Director General Hajj Abdul Wahab Soomro, and other senior officials.

The minister was briefed on the final arrangements for the first “Road to Makkah” project flight from Lahore. He directed authorities to ensure that all logistical and operational matters are completed well in time.

Sardar Yousaf stressed that hospitals and dispensaries in Makkah and Medina must be fully functional before the arrival of pilgrims to provide timely medical assistance. He also underscored the importance of extending the best possible hospitality to Pakistani pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia.

Highlighting the need for effective coordination, the minister directed all stakeholders to maintain close and efficient communication to ensure seamless arrangements.

The minister noted that special focus has been placed on the training of “Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj” this year. He urged pilgrims to strictly follow their instructions to maintain discipline and avoid inconvenience during the pilgrimage.
