IT Minister urges Ericsson Pakistan to hire services of skilled Pakistani youth

ISLAMABAD, Dec 22 (APP):Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque Wednesday urged Ericsson Pakistan to hire services of skilled Pakistani youth.

The minister expressed these views during a meeting with delegation of Ericsson Pakistan Pvt Ltd who called on him in his office to discuss the mattes pertaining to the digitalization and mobile phone manufacturing, said a news release.

The Minister said that strong measures were underway for connectivity both in urban and rural areas of the country.

He said that provision of low price and quality mobile phones is the need of hour. Pakistan is mega market of technology and there is great potential in our youth, he said.

He said there were five National Incubation Centers (NICs) in Pakistan presently, adding that two more incubation centers will be operative in Hyderabad and Faisalabad in next six months.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Ericsson Mr. Ekow Nelson said that Ericsson wanted expansion and diversification in Pakistan.

“We are committed to bring investment and best technology in Pakistan,” he added.

Secretary IT Dr. Sohail Rajput and senior officers of the Ministry were also present.
