Minister stresses on close coordination between relief agencies for timely relief operations

PESHAWAR Nov 9 (APP): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Education and Power Muhammad Atif Khan has said that effective liaison and coordination between rescue, relief and other related departments and organization was inevitable in case of any natural disaster or emergency for timely rescue and relief operations.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government was actively considering a viable plan for the purpose in consultation with the standard global organizations and agencies. This he stated while chairing a presentation on natural disaster management at Peshawar on Monday.
The Minister on this occasion was briefed in detail by the foreign organization. Quarters concerned of PDMA and other related departments and organizations also attended the presentation.
The Education Minister maintained that no one could face the natural disasters but its affects could be minimized by use of latest technology and better planning. In the present modern era, where world become a global village, use of latest technology for actively facing the natural as well as manmade disasters was the need of the hour.
Atif Khan said that the KP government was striving hard to bring all disasters related organizations, agencies and people on the same page for effectively countering the situation in case of any natural disaster or emergency to bring the losses to the minimum.
