Minister lauds AJK print media for highlighting Kashmir issue

ISLAMABAD, Jan 22 (APP):Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Ali Amin Khan Gandapur Tuesday said that print media of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has played appreciable role in highlighting the Kashmir issue.
Addressing an annual ceremony of a local newspaper of AJK here at National Press Club (NPC), the minister said the government was playing vital role in highlighting the Kashmir issue at international level.
On the occasion, the minister also congratulated the newly elected bearers of National Press Club Islamabad.

He said the media of AJK has made progress in short span of time. He urged the AJK journalist community to play their vital role in highlighting the public issues of Kashmir.
The development projects of the AJK would be completed timely, the minister assured. He also informed that 200 kilometer tourism corridor would be included in Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) by next years.
He said the development work on Mirpur, Mangla, Muzafarabad road would be initiated soon. He added that a survey has been initiated at high level for the promotion of education and health sector in Kashmir.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan believes in transfer of power to lower level. He said the confusion regarding 13th amendment in the constitution of AJK would be removed.
The suggestions regarding further empowering the Gilgit-Baltistan would be presented soon in the Cabinet.
He said the nation will celebrate the Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5 with full zeal and fever.
