ISLAMABAD, Sep 12 (APP):Federal Minister for the Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh presented a shield to China Media Group (CMG) Director Programmes and Public Relations, CGTN Urdu, Tasawwar Zaman Babar, in recognition of his contribution to promoting Pakistan-China relations.
The minister appreciated Babar’s professional services and said the media had an important role in highlighting the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and China.
He said Babar had made efforts to highlight bilateral cooperation in various fields and promote constructive dialogue on matters of mutual interest.
Sheikh said the relationship between Pakistan and China went beyond government-to-government ties and was rooted in strong and longstanding people-to-people contacts.
He stressed the need for the media to play its role in further strengthening these bonds and promoting greater understanding between the peoples of the two countries.
The minister also appreciated Babar’s professional career and his contributions during his association with Radio Pakistan, Pakistan Television and China Media Group.
