Minister asks EPI officials to ensure vaccines for kids

KARACHI, Nov 24 (APP): Sindh Minister for Health, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has directed officials of Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI-Sindh) to ensure easy availability of TB vaccines for children in Badin.
Chairing a meeting in his office Tuesday, the minister took strong exception to news reports about non availability of TB vaccines at government health facilities in the district of Badin.

The combo vaccine administered under EPI alongwith other vaccines to children at different phases of their lives must be ensured as this otherwise may affect the demand for vaccination among the local population, said the minister.
Mehtab asking EPI officials to address the issue on immediate basis, said special arrangements must also be made for provision of full fledged anti-TB vaccines for infants in all hospitals of Badin district. He on the occasion directed the District Health Officer of Tando
