Mehfil-e-Milad held at PM’s residence

LAHORE, Dec 24 (APP): A Mehfil Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) was held here at the residence of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Jati Umra on Thursday to show great reverence for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and pray for the Muslims to regain their lost glory.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, his son Hussain Nawaz, grandsons, granddaughters, and other family members attended the Mehfil-e-Milad.

Prominent Naat Khawan recited Naat to pay respect to the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and highlighted his teachings of peace, love and brotherhood.

The Mehfil-e-Milad also featured the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran as well as Darood Sharif.

On the wish of Prime Minister,  famous Sufi poetry of Pir Mehar Ali Shah “Aj sik mitran de wadhery ay” was also recited on the occasion.

The Prime Minister remained present in the Mehfil for one hour.

The participants prayed for peace and prosperity of Pakistan and deliverance from different issues confronting the country.

After Darood-o-Salam, Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif himself distributed ‘Langar’ (food/meal) among the participants.
