ISLAMABAD, Jul 21 (APP):The Managing Director (MD) of Afridi College Peshawar, Professor Muhammad Jameel Afridi, paid a special visit to the National Language Promotion Department (NLPD) here today.
On this occasion, he met with the Director General of the Department, Prof Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar.
The meeting focused on fostering educational cooperation, promoting the Urdu language, and advancing academic development in the tribal districts. The Executive Director of the Department, Dr Rashid Hameed, was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director General described teachers who spread the light of knowledge in the tribal areas as the “nation’s true asset and benefactors.”
He paid rich tribute to the services of Afridi College Peshawar, stating that such institutions were vital agents of positive change in society.
He further emphasized that teachers play a fundamental role not only in education but also in paving the way for peace, progress, and awareness.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Director General presented Prof Muhammad Jameel Afridi with a set of books published by the Department as a gift for Afridi College Peshawar. These books, he said, would prove to be a valuable resource for students, researchers, and knowledge enthusiasts, further enriching the college’s library and academic environment.
Prof Muhammad Jameel Afridi thanked the NLPD for its support, saying that this cooperation laid the foundation for a strong academic bond that would serve as a milestone in the promotion of Urdu language and literature.
