ISLAMABAD, May 02 (APP):Turkish ambassador to Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul on Thursday said Turkey is pride to have Mawlana Roomi who spread the message of love and peace.
He stated this while addressing the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) as a chief guest on a program “ROOMI CALLING” organized by the Turkish department of NUML to commemorate Mawlana Roomi.
Rector NUML Major General (retd) Zia ud Din Najam, Director General Muhammad Ibrahim, dean, directors, heads of departments, guests from embassies, scholars and large number of students attended the event.
The ambassador said that according to the teachings of Mawlana Islam is the religion of Peace and Love, everything in the universe is love.
He said that essences of Mawlana Jalaaluddin Roomi’s thoughts is love with the Creator.
Turkey is pride to have Mawlana Roomi; he was the great spiritual leader and he is also the leader of every peace loving human, the ambassador added.
The ambassador lauded the role of NUML and said that university is bridging the gap between different nations.
The eminent scholars Prof. Dr. Aziz Ali Najam, Mrs Shazrae Hussain and Mrs. Humaira Masihuddain throws the light on the different aspects of the Mawlana Roomi’s life and stressed the importance of Ishq i Haqiqi and peace.
Rector NUML Major General Zia ud Din Najam in his address said that it is need of the hour to become “Millat” (nation) and NUML is playing a focal place in this regard.
