ISLAMABAD, Oct 3 (APP):High Commissioner of Mauritius in Pakistan Soobadar Rashidally called on Federal Secretary, Information and Broadcasting Sardar Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera here Wednesday.
During the meeting, the High Commissioner discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of media and communication, said a press release issued here.
He stressed upon the need for strengthening cooperation between the Mauritius Broadcasting Cooperation (MBC) and the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTVC).
The HC informed that there was a reasonable population of Urdu speaking community in Mauritius and very fond of dramas and programs of PTV.
He requested for provision of popular PTV dramas and programs for broadcasting in Mauritius.
The Secretary appreciated the keen interest of the High Commissioner in the broadcasts of PTV and said that it would provide a great window of opportunity between the state TV channels of both the countries.
He assured complete cooperation of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in this regard.
