QUETTA, Feb 10 (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif met members of the Balochistan cabinet and coalition parties at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Quetta, alongside Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

She strongly condemned recent incidents of terrorism in the province and pledged full support from the Punjab government at all levels.

Addressing the provincial cabinet and assembly members, Maryam Nawaz Sharif praised the measures taken by CM Sarfraz Bugti for public welfare and peace restoration, describing them as a foundation for lasting stability and development.

She expressed pride that her first official visit as chief minister was to Balochistan, acknowledging the resilience and sacrifices of its people for national unity and security.

Maryam Nawaz reiterated Punjab’s commitment to stand shoulder to shoulder with Balochistan in overcoming security and development challenges, stressing that terrorism can only be defeated through collective resolve, cooperation, and national solidarity.

Welcoming her visit, CM Balochistan said it symbolized brotherhood and strengthened inter-provincial harmony. He lauded Punjab’s Rs10 billion financial assistance for security forces, calling it a timely and commendable step that would enhance their professional capacity in the fight against terrorism.

Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed the provincial government’s determination to eradicate terrorism and ensure the full restoration of peace across Balochistan, noting that both government and opposition were united on a common agenda of public welfare, peace, and development.
