ISLAMABAD, May 06 (APP): Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, on Wednesday paid rich tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan, particularly the Pakistan Air Force, saying that “Marqa-e-Haq” remained a landmark and illustrious chapter in Pakistan’s national and defence history and would always be remembered with pride.
In his special message on the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq,” he said that Pakistan’s timely and effective response to Indian aggression not only established its defensive superiority but also demonstrated its professional excellence on the global stage.
Sadiq emphasized that “Marka-e-Haq” made it clear that Pakistan was a self-respecting, united and resolute nation that did not compromise on its sovereignty, independence, and national security.
Referring to the events of May 6 -7 2025, Ayaz Sadiq said that the enemy targeted civilian areas, including innocent children, in violation of international laws and humanitarian norms.
He said that the armed forces responded swiftly and decisively, thwarting enemy designs and downing multiple Indian aircraft, thereby delivering a strong and effective response to aggression.
Ayaz Sadiq said that the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the strategic vision of Field Marshal, Syed Asim Munir played a pivotal role in this success.
He further said that Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister, Senator Ishaq Dar effectively presented Pakistan’s principled stance on diplomatic platforms, exposing India’s false narrative and propaganda at the global level, while Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif further enhanced the overall defence strategy through his leadership.
The National Assembly Speaker highlighted that during the operation from 7 to 10 May, the armed forces of Pakistan demonstrated exceptional professionalism and advanced warfare capabilities, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.
Commending the Pakistan Air Force, he described the engagement as one of the largest aerial encounters of the century, involving 100 aircraft.
He said that Pakistan successfully neutralized advanced enemy systems, downed hostile aircraft and maintained complete aerial superiority without any loss of its own aircrafts, an achievement that would be remembered as a landmark in military history.
Ayaz Sadiq paid tribute to the martyrs of “Marka-e-Haq,” saying that the sacrifices of both martyred civilians and armed forces personnel remained a source of national strength, resilience and pride.
He said that during “Marka-e-Haq” the parliament, political leadership and the entire nation demonstrated remarkable unity, which led to the failure of all enemy designs.
The armed forces of Pakistan, he added, defended the homeland with courage, determination and professionalism on every front.
The speaker also appreciated the role of the Pakistani media, saying that it responsibly countered hostile propaganda and effectively highlighted Pakistan’s narrative at the international level through credible and professional reporting.
Ayaz Sadiq said added that “Marka-e-Haq” was not merely a military success but a symbol of national unity, sacrifice and resolve that would continue to guide future generations.
He reiterated that Pakistan would remain united in its commitment to progress, stability and security and would respond firmly to any act of aggression.
Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah said that “Marka-e-Haq” reflected the courage and professionalism of the armed forces and reaffirmed that the Pakistani nation always stood united in defense of its homeland.
