In his message on Black Day, the Deputy Chairman Senate expressed solidarity with their brethren and vowed to provide moral, political and diplomatic support till the liberation of Indian-held Kashmir from the Indian clutches. He said that Pakistan had a clear stance that without the resolution of Kashmir issue, sustainable peace was not possible in the region.
Saleem Mandviwalla said that there is need for an independent, transparent and fair investigation into these human rights violations under the UN. The international community should pay heed to the miseries and sufferings of the Kashmiri people, he said.
The Deputy Chairman said that Kashmiris should be given the right to decide on their political future through a plebiscite to be held by the United Nations. He said that India had landed her troops in Srinagar this day 70 years ago against the aspirations of the locals. The occupation forces have so far failed to dominate the will of Kashmiri people, who continue to stand up against the Indian occupation, he added.
