A parliamentary delegation from the Republic of Maldives visited the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Thursday, highlighting the shared interest of Pakistan and Maldives in expanding cultural cooperation and people-to-people contacts.
Maldivian parliamentary delegation visits PNCA to promote cultural ties
ISLAMABAD, Sep 24 (APP): A parliamentary delegation from the Republic of Maldives visited the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Thursday, highlighting the shared interest of Pakistan and Maldives in expanding cultural cooperation and people-to-people contacts.
The delegation visited PNCA at the invitation of Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar, Member National Assembly (MNA) and Chairperson of the Standing Committee on National Heritage and Culture Division.
Ms. Shaista Khan, MNA and Convener of the Pakistan-Maldives Parliamentary Friendship Group, was also present on the occasion.
The Maldivian delegation, comprising parliamentarians and officials, was warmly received at PNCA.
During the visit, the delegation attended a cultural programme showcasing Pakistan’s rich artistic traditions and diverse cultural heritage.
The visiting parliamentarians appreciated the performances and expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to them.
The delegation also expressed interest in further promoting cultural cooperation and strengthening people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and the Maldives.
The visit reflected the cordial relations between the two countries and underscored the importance of sustained parliamentary, cultural and people-to-people exchanges in further strengthening bilateral ties.
