ISLAMABAD, Nov 29 (APP):Aiman Ridhwan Bin Mohammad Ramlan of Malaysia clinched the top position in Pakistan’s First International Qirat Competition, while Iran’s Adnan Momeninkhamiseh and Pakistan’s Qari Abdul Rasheed secured second and third place, respectively.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday attended the concluding ceremony of the competition, where he presented the winning prize and shields to the top six contenders.
He was joined by Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, along with the competition’s chief judge and coordinator, Qari Sadaqat.
A cash prize of five million rupees was awarded to Aiman Ridhwan Bin Mohammad Ramlan, who secured first place.
The participants from Iran and Pakistan received three million and two million rupees, respectively, for earning second and third positions.
Meanwhile, competitors from Afghanistan, Indonesia, and Morocco were each awarded 200,000 rupees for achieving fourth, fifth, and sixth place in the international contest.
It may be mentioned that Pakistan hosted the first International Qirat Competition from November 24 to November 29, drawing participants from 37 Islamic countries.
