ISLAMABAD, Oct 07 (APP):The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly dry weather conditions across most parts of the country on Wednesday.
In Islamabad and its adjoining areas, dry weather is expected to prevail throughout the day.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most plain districts will remain dry, while the upper districts may experience partly cloudy conditions. Similarly, Punjab is likely to witness dry weather in most of its districts.
In Sindh, the weather will remain hot and dry, while Balochistan is also expected to experience similar conditions. However, light rain or drizzle is likely at isolated places along the coastal belt under partly cloudy skies.
In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, partly cloudy to dry weather conditions are expected.
During the past 24 hours, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in parts of Kashmir, upper and central Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan, while dry weather prevailed elsewhere.
The rainfall recorded during the period was Kashmir: Muzaffarabad (City 61mm, Airport 30), Kotli 30, Rawalakot 23, Garhi Dopatta 11mm; Punjab: Sheikhupura 22, Gujrat 20, Sialkot (Airport 14, City 12), Hafizabad 13, Mangla 12, Jhelum 10, Narowal 6, Multan Airport 4, Gujranwala 2, Mandi Bahauddin, Layyah 01; Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Balakot, Bacha Khan Airport 12, Dir (Lower 10, Upper 6), Peshawar (City 10, Airport 7), Pattan 8, Saidu Sharif, Parachinar 4, Malam Jabba, Kakul 3, Mir Khani 2, Kalam, Takht Bai 1. Gilgit-Baltistan: Bagrote 4, Skardu, Chilas 02, Gilgit, Bunji, Astore 01mm.
The PMD advised citizens to expect dry and stable weather across most regions, with temperatures likely to remain above normal in southern parts of the country.
