ISLAMABAD, Nov 18 (APP): Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Khalid Hussain Magsi Tuesday urged Pakistan’s young graduates to “step forward with confidence, innovation, and responsibility to shape the nation’s technological and economic future.”
Addressing the Convocation 2025 of COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) Wah Campus as chief guest, he congratulated the students and their families, praised the faculty’s dedicated role in their academic success, and reaffirmed the government’s full support for the university’s continued advancement in science and technology.
Mohammad Nafees Zakria, Executive Director COMSATS University Islamabad, also attended the ceremony held at the Jinnah Convention Centre.
This year, 655 students were awarded degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Management Sciences, and Mathematics.
Of these, 17 scholars earned PhD degrees, while 34 students received gold, silver, and bronze medals in recognition of their academic excellence.
In his detailed campus report, Prof. Dr. Ehsan Ullah Munir, Director CUI Wah Campus, highlighted the campus’s achievements, research initiatives, state-of-the-art laboratories, scholarship opportunities, and future development plans.
He congratulated the graduates and their parents, encouraging them to continue pursuing excellence in their professional paths.
Rector COMSATS University Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Raheel Qamar, advised students to prepare for rapid technological shifts and contribute meaningfully to Pakistan’s economic development.
He also lauded the faculty, staff, and ushers for successfully organizing the convocation and supporting the university’s mission.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of degrees and medals, marking a proud milestone for the graduating batch of CUI Wah Campus.
