Madaris agree to hold audit of their accounts: Sardar Yousuf

ISLAMABAD, Nov 10 (APP): Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Sardar Muhammad Yousuf Harmony Tuesday said that Madaris (religious seminaries) had agreed to hold audit of their accounts.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, the minister said that in this regard a meeting was held under the chair of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to formulate a mechanism to monitor funding received by Madaris.
Sardar Yousuf said that the religious seminaries, in conformity with the law, would present information relating to their audit of their expenditure.
The Minister said that the National Action Plan (NAP) was the most important agenda, being gradually implemented in all areas after the consensus, adding that consultation with management of religious seminaries was necessary for NAP’s implementation.
To a question, the minister said that peace was restoring due to the operation Zarb-e-Azb which was going on successfully. “The government will not take rest till elimination of the last terrorist from the country,” he said added
The minister said that a meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee would meet soon to discuss all the issues relating to its composition and they would be resolved according to law and the Constitution.
Sardar Yousuf said that the election of the Speaker National Assembly has further strengthened the democratic system and ensured supremacy of the Parliament.
