ISLAMABAD, Apr 28 (APP):Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Shahzeb Rafi, who emerged as a key figure in May battle, was awarded the Tamgha-e-Basalat for his exemplary performance during Marka-e-Haq.
Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Shahzeb Rafi, who was commanding an artillery unit during Marka-e-Haq, played a significant role in defeating the enemy by destroying several enemy brigade and battalion headquarters, as well as mortar positions.
Rafi’s unit responded promptly after the enemy targeted civilian populations on the night between May 6 and 7, 2025. The timely and intense shelling by his unit destroyed multiple enemy brigade and battalion headquarters, along with mortar positions.
