Leghari condemns unprovoked Afghan aggression

ISLAMABAD, Feb 27 (APP):Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari on Friday strongly condemned unprovoked act of aggression by Afghanistan, warning that Pakistan would never compromise on its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a statement issued here, the minister said the late-night attack was a cowardly and blatant act of hostility.
He reaffirmed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the government remains fully committed to safeguarding national defence and ensuring the security of the country.
Leghari paid tribute to the armed forces, noting that under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, armed forces had delivered a timely and effective response to the aggression.
“The entire nation takes pride in the swift and decisive action of our armed forces,” he said, adding that hostile designs of the enemy would be thwarted at every front.
The minister emphasized that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with their brave armed forces and reiterated the government’s resolve to protect the country’s peace and stability at all costs.
