Laylat al-Qadr provides an opportunity to seek Allah’s mercy, forgiveness: Ayaz

Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Monday said that the blessed night brings immense spiritual blessings, mercy and forgiveness for Muslims.

ISLAMABAD, Mar 16 (APP):Speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Monday said that the blessed night brings immense spiritual blessings, mercy and forgiveness for Muslims.

In his message on the occasion of Laylat al-Qadr, he said that this sacred night provides a valuable opportunity to seek the special mercy of Allah Almighty, engage in repentance and supplication, and reflect upon one’s deeds.

Ayaz Sadiq stated that Laylat al-Qadr has been described in the Holy Qur’an as “better than a thousand months,” which clearly reflects the greatness and significance of this night.

He emphasized that Muslims should make earnest efforts to attain the pleasure of Allah Almighty through prayers, remembrance, supplication and seeking forgiveness during this blessed night.

The Speaker further remarked that the occasion also calls for promoting noble values such as patience, tolerance, compassion and brotherhood, and for strengthening the spirit of unity and humanity within society.

Ayaz Sadiq urged the nation to offer special prayers for the peace, stability and prosperity of Pakistan during the blessed moments of Laylat al-Qadr.

He said that the nation should seek Allah Almighty’s blessings for peace, progress and national unity in the country.

Ayaz Sadiq further emphasized that Muslims should pray for greater unity, brotherhood, and harmony within the Muslim Ummah so that the challenges confronting the Muslim world may be addressed with collective strength and solidarity.

He also called upon the nation to remember the oppressed Muslims of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine in their prayers, who have long been facing oppression and injustice.

He prayed that Allah Almighty grant them patience and perseverance and bless them with freedom, peace and justice.

Ayaz Sadiq also urged the nation to pray for the safety and success of the brave personnel of the security forces who are combating terrorism and safeguarding the country.

He further prayed that Allah Almighty protect Pakistan from all internal and external threats and grant the nation lasting economic stability and prosperity.

On this occasion, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah said that Laylat al-Qadr is a valuable opportunity for spiritual renewal and for strengthening one’s connection with Allah Almighty.

He said that Muslims should strive to seek Allah’s blessings through increased prayers, supplication and righteous deeds on this blessed night.

Mustafa Shah expressed hope that the entire nation would offer special prayers for the peace, development and prosperity of Pakistan, as well as for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and global peace.
