ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (APP):With the intervention of the National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR), land has been allocated for a Christian graveyard in Jinnah Garden Society, Islamabad.
According to details, the local Christian community had long been facing difficulties in securing a proper burial space.
Following NCHR’s efforts and coordination with the relevant authorities, the issue was resolved, and the land was officially allotted for the purpose.
The community has now constructed a boundary wall around the designated site to demarcate and protect the graveyard. Community members expressed gratitude to NCHR for its timely action and commitment to ensuring the protection of minority rights.
The development is seen as a positive step toward promoting inclusivity and upholding the constitutional rights of religious minorities in Pakistan.
