Labour class backbone of our counrty: Law Minister

ISLAMABAD, May 01 (APP):The contributions of the labour class for our country were immense and their role was like that of a backbone, said Federal Minister for Law and Justice Dr Barrister Muhammad Farogh Naseem.
The federal minister in his message on Labour Day also said, “Today is the day to appreciate and honor the hard work of the workers who work in Pakistan and around the world”.
He added that, it was our responsibility to make sure that a worker earned his livelihood before the sweat of his toil dries on his skin, as preached by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Barrister said, our constitution safeguards the rights of the working class and today they renewed our vow to further ameliorate the lives of the working class.
Recently, the Prime Minister of Pakistan launched a program by the name of ‘Ehsaas’ to further push his agenda of establishing a welfare state on the lines of the State of Medina.
The Program would cater to the needs of the labour class along with other deprived sections of the society. They would extend all possible assistance to make the program a success, the minister maintained.
He said, “The Ministry of Law and Justice and myself are committed to ensure the rights of the workers and to provide them with a safe working environment, free from maltreatment and harassment”.
