During the meeting, the governor was briefed on SIFC’s mandate, institutional role and ongoing initiatives aimed at improving Pakistan’s investment climate through a coordinated, investor-centric approach, a news release said on Wednesday.
The briefing highlighted SIFC’s role in bringing federal and provincial stakeholders onto a common platform, facilitating investors and addressing procedural and regulatory impediments to business development.
The meeting featured detailed discussions on diverse business and investment opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with particular emphasis on tapping the province’s economic potential, promoting industrial activity and attracting greater private-sector investment.
The optimization of existing Special Economic Zones (SEZs) was also discussed, focusing on their effective utilization and the creation of an enabling environment for industrial development.
The delegation was further briefed on regulatory reforms being pursued under SIFC’s facilitation framework, particularly initiatives aimed at simplifying business procedures, reducing regulatory burdens and improving coordination among relevant government institutions.

The engagement highlighted the importance of effective coordination between SIFC and the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in identifying investment opportunities, addressing business-related challenges and translating the province’s economic potential into tangible development outcomes.
