ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP):Minister for Energy (Power Division) Omar Ayub Khan Thursday said around 100 feeders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would be made theft free till December and load management to get zero on these feeders.

During meeting with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan here, the minister said that the development work on these feeders was underway, a press release said.

Matter pertaining to electricity and sui-gas in the province also came under discussion during the meeting and they were informed about the steps being taken by the ministry to improve electricity system in KP.

Omar Ayub assured full support from the energy, petroleum and electricity sectors to promote industry and trade in the province.

The minister said that the government had started important projects of energy and gas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “ There is lot of electricity available in the national grid and the government is trying to provide uninterrupted electricity to the public,” he added.

Omar Ayub thanked the provincial government for their cooperation in the crackdown against the power pilferers.

On the occasion, CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assured full cooperation to the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) for their operation against the power embezzlers.

Provincial Minister for Finance Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Taimur Jhagra, Advisor to CM on Energy Himayatullah Khan, Jahangir Khan Tareen, Secretary Power Division, Secretary Energy Division and other senior officials were also present during the meeting.
