PESHAWAR, Jun 15 (APP):Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (R)
Dost Muhammad while directing the officials of Provincial Housing Authority (PHA)
about formulating comprehensive plan for vertical construction in the province has
hinted at bringing an ordinance to this effect.
The importance of the vertical construction has become
inevitable in the province due to growing population, environmental hazards and
fast depleting space on ground, he told the meeting of PHA officials here on
Friday.
The delay to this effect may cause alarming situation for
the government. Secretary PHS briefed the Caretaker Chief Minister about
various housing schemes and commercial projects of the PHA.
The Chief Minister emphasized on vertical construction with
maximum focus on saving greenery whereas green parks should also be constructed
in the housing schemes.
He also called for construction of two storey parking plazas
in the provincial capital to address problems of parking in Peshawar on sound
footings.
Parking was a security risk in the present situation in the
province therefore there should be proper parking facilities as well as availability
of sound system of extinguishing fire in the multi storey building was also
necessary to meet any eventuality in time.
We should use modern technology in coping with
emergencies.
