KP educational institutions to observe black day on Dec 16 in memory of APS martyrs

PESHAWAR, Dec 15 (APP): The educational institutions across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will observe black day on December 16 to commemorate the victims of the tragic Army Public School (APS) attack, one of the most painful incidents in Pakistan’s history.
According to a notification issued by an educational institution’s management, students, teachers, and staff members would pay tribute APS martyrs and expressed solidarity with victims’ families.
The management stated that the purpose of observing Black Day is to pay homage to the innocent children, teachers, and staff members who lost their lives in the APS attack.
December 16 is observed every year as a solemn day of remembrance, highlighting the collective resolve of the nation against terrorism and extremism.
Special activities, prayers, and remembrance sessions are expected to be organized during the day to honor the martyrs and to educate students about the importance of peace, tolerance, and resilience.
Speakers will emphasize the need for unity and vigilance to prevent such tragedies in the future.
